We work in partnership with Nottingham’s Faith Sector, at both a strategic level and through supporting specific events and organisations.
The current elected faith representative on the One Nottingham Board is:
Karimia Institute (Voluntary and Community Sector, Faith)
Sajid, together with Jane Todd, the Chair of One Nottingham and Nigel Cooke, the Director, are also members of the Bishop of Southwell and Nottingham’s Faith Leaders Group, which holds regular meetings with leaders from different faith traditions aiming to engage together in the public square and work for the common good.
Some of the other initiatives One Nottingham are involved in, include the annual Inter Faith Week. The Inter Faith Week 2016 will take place between the 13th and 20th of November. Nottingham’s events are organised by the Nottingham Inter Faith Council. Previous years events have included Faith Fairs here in Loxley House, discussions and picnics.
One Nottingham also supports the Nottingham Inter Faith Council by hosting and organising the annual Holocaust Memorial Day service in the City, in partnership with the Civic Office.
