Strategic Plans

The work of One Nottingham, the wider partnership and partners across the city is supported by a range of key plans that provide our work with a strategic context, and identify key priorities for the city, its people and local communities, that give a shared focus to the work we do.

Some of the current key strategic plans for Nottingham are:

Nottingham Plan to 2020

The Nottingham Plan to 2020 sets the overall strategic direction and long term vision for the economic, social and environmental wellbeing of the city of Nottingham.

Children and Young People’s Plan

After consultation and review the Children and Young People’s Plan was produced to cover the period 2016-2020.

Council Plan 2015 – 2019

The latest Council Plan sets out Nottingham City Council’s ambitions for the city over the next four years up to 2019.

Derby – Nottingham Metropolitan Strategy (Draft)

The City Councils in Derby and Nottingham have come together to develop a Metropolitan strategy which has been launched for consultation.

Education Improvement Strategy

This Strategy sets out Nottingham City Council’s strategic vision for education in the City and key priorities for the school years 2014 – 2017. The vision and priorities are shared with partners through Nottingham’s Education Improvement Board.

Housing Nottingham Plan

Nottingham’s Strategic Housing Network has developed a housing strategy for the City known as the ‘Housing Nottingham Plan’.

Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy

Health and Wellbeing Boards have a duty to prepare a Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy for meeting priorities identified in the local Joint Strategic Needs Assessment.

Nottingham Crime and Drugs Partnership – Partnership Plan 2015 – 2020

This Partnership Plan sets out the Crime and Drugs Partnership’s strategic vision for the future and outlines how, as a collective group of partners, they will work together in order to achieve their objectives.

Nottingham Growth Plan

The Nottingham Growth Plan, launched in July 2012, promotes job creation and economic growth in the city.

Vulnerable Adults Plan

Nottingham City’s Vulnerable Adults Plan was launched in 2012 as the City’s first over-arching plan for improving the lives of vulnerable adults living in the City. A new Plan to cover 2016 – 2020 is currently being developed.
