2011 YCA - Nottingham's creative talent recognised at Awards night

The winners of the 2011 Young Creative Awards were announced at a special ceremony held at Nottingham Trent University.

This was the third year of the awards, which recognised the creative talents of young people from across the city. The theme for the 2011 creative awards was music.

Winners from each of the six categories were announced on the evening with a special award presented to the Young Creative of the Year 2011.

Young Creative of the Year Katsina Whitchurch

Katsina Whitchurch submitted the winning CD cover design in the Graphics Category which was judged unanimously as innovative, quirky and humorous. Katsina went on to win the overall Young Creative of the Year Award.

Nigel Cooke, Director of One Nottingham, said "The awards were a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate the wealth of creative talent we have in Nottingham and reflects our ambition to be a world class city. On behalf of One Nottingham and Nottingham City Council I'd like to congratulate everyone who helped make this event a huge success. Special congratulation go to all of the winners. We are already looking forward to next years event so it is not to soon to start thinking of working your entries."
