Young Creative Awards 2012
The 2012 Young Creative Awards received a record number of entries based on the theme "Nottingham Welcomes the World".
The Young Creative Awards 2012 saw a record number of entries from the creative and talented young people who live, work and study in Nottingham. To celebrate our vibrant multicultural city over 250 young people submitted work taking inspiration from the theme of "Nottingham Welcomes the World".
Prestigious judges including Billy Ivory, local boy and writer of Made in Dagenham joined Nottingham's array of creative industries to judge the following categories: Architecture, Urban, Interior & 3D Design; Fashion; Music and Performance; Visual Arts; Photography, Film; Graphic Design; Animation & Digital Media and Creative Writing.
Prizes were awarded in three age groups, 13-15, 16-18 and 19-24 and those entrants who were shortlisted for an award attended the presentation and celebration event on the 8th May 2012 at the Nottingham Contemporary.
