The Nottingham Plan to 2020 was launched on Monday 5th October at the Council House.

The evening was attended by around 200 partners, community organisations and businesses and marked a new and decisive step in Nottingham partnership working.

The plan was launched by Youth Council member Aaron Riley from Bluecoat School; Christine Willetts from Aspley and Bells Lane Partnership; Derek Brewer – Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club Chief Executive and One Nottingham Board member; and Councillor Jon Collins – the Chair of One Nottingham and Leader of Nottingham City Council.

The event heard of the hopes, plans and successes of partners to date from Superintendent Steve Cooper – Nottinghamshire Police; Frank Swann – Nottinghamshire Chief Fire Officer and Chief Executive; and Chris Packham – Director of Public Health, NHS Nottingham City.

The event also featured a range of information stands each showing work around The Nottingham Plan to 2020 priorities and there was an opportunity to network with colleagues.

The Nottingham Plan to 2020 is a route map for organisations in the city, and for our citizens and communities, and sets out a clear vision of what the city should look like in the future.  It will help us work together with local people, our diverse communities, voluntary groups and businesses and all the partners in One Nottingham to make change happen.  The Plan reflects the views of the many people who have helped to shape it.

Copies of The Nottingham Plan to 2020 are available from One Nottingham on telephone number (0115) 9150302 or by email at worldclass@onenottingham.org.uk
