We all have experience-positive and otherwise-of working together in partnership. Our successful leaders of the future need to be flexible, adept at working across organisational boundaries and able to overcome the sorts of barriers that working in partnership can bring.

One Nottingham's innovative, new People Exchange Programme (PEP) will help to develop those leaders. The programme is believed to be the first of its kind in the country.

The People Exchange Programme offers excellent opportunities to develop collaborative leadership skills within and across key partner organisations in the city. Participants will increase their personal understanding of the ways in which key partners work, deepen their networks and gain a real insight into the collective leadership challenge facing us today. At the same time all of us in the One Nottingham partnership will increase our organisational capacity to develop our leaders together, to undertake joint training opportunities and to strengthen connection across policy, HR and Learning and Development functions.

Working in Partnership Induction Programme - 19.05.2010

The Programme provides tailored partnership skills training as well as chances to experience life in each others' organisations through short attachments and a number of other bespoke opportunities such as Project Learning Teams, Coaching & Mentoring Opportunities  and the Working in Partnership Skills Module. It is designed to expand upon partners own existing internal Leadership Programmes and is aimed at those already holding leadership / management roles and those who are the leaders of the future.

Key members of the Programme are:

• NHS Nottingham City

• Nottinghamshire Police

• Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service

• Nottingham City Council

• The Voluntary Sector
